Outpatient Admissions

  • West Gables’ CARF Accredited Outpatient Program is geared to serve the rehabilitation needs of the Miami Dade community utilizing treatment approaches to help patients regain lost functional abilities as well as to successfully reintegrate into their community.  The program serves a multitude of conditions such as Orthopedic and Musculoskeletal conditions, Stroke, Amputation, Brain Injury, Neurological disorders, and Spinal Cord Injury.

Potential patients are asked to contact their physician for a referral to the Outpatient program.  Once a referral is received, the front desk staff will contact you to collect some patient information and confirm your insurance benefits (click here for a list of insurances accepted at WGRH).  Once insurance benefits have been confirmed, you will be scheduled for your initial evaluation.

You will be asked to come in approximately one hour prior to your evaluation time to complete the orientation paperwork (click here to download the OP orientation paperwork).  Your initial and follow up therapy sessions will be between 60 and 90 minutes in duration.  Patients are encouraged to wear articles of clothing that they feel comfortable wearing at home, including footwear.  Preferably elastic shorts and pull over shirts.  You may also want to have a sweater or jacket as the hospital does have a tendency to feel cold.
